When are we going to have the Banquet and will someone please just MAN UP and say, yes I am running the d**n track and these are the dates, rules and it WILL (or will not) be open.
I was wanting a new Super Stock, but Can't build one until I and the raceshop knows the rules. Well the speedshops will have to do without the $12-15,000 I was willing to put into it. 360, 4 barrel, 400 with 2 barrel, all my stuff is going in a 55 gallon barrel. Sooner Racing and Sweeten Performance are the real losers in my decision. I'm going fishing.
If this crap isn't straightened out by December 1, I am going to give away every d**n thing I own and quit. I am tried of all the drama, back biting, and BS.
15 years of racing is walking away. I am fed up with these owners that cut purses, give their buddies all the breaks, start them on the front row(or themselves). Refuse to tech them,
Boomer, this is the first time I have ever agreed with you, ex-racers or current racers don't make good promoters.
I QUIT!!

Sold it all on Friday. I am done. I won't even sit in the stands until the area tracks get some respect for fans and drivers.
When a track promoter refuses to DQ a driver because he brings 20 people to a track, that is the wrong answer. That happened this year, my wife listens to the track radios. A driver was DQ'ed in tech and this promoter overrode the DQ. He said "don't DQ him, he brings 20 people to the track with him."
I am going looking for a boat Sunday in Branson or Springfield. Got 20 cents on the dollar for my stuff, I have enough for a 18 ft Tri-hull Bass Tracker now.

lugnut, sorry about you experience with some of the promoters.I understand completely.Sold out myself years ago bought a boat and went fishing and fished hard enjoyed it.If you are serious about fishing let give you a little advice..Had a used boat and had trouble with it so we bought the new one.If you can aford it buy the real deal.Looked a boats for months i settled on a NEW Champion bass dual console for family time.Nothing like speed on water.I miss that time myself but we love racing and i'll be D#### if i let some in their position determine my hobby.I guy with money is not going to fix the has not it won't happen. If you get close call would like to go bass fishing agin.I still remember how to catch the good ones.My door is alwayes open for someone that wants a little advice or bench fish.Good luke in your new hobby.
